GEORGE BERNARD TOSHIO WATANABE

George Bernard Toshio Watanabe passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2026, at the age of 69, with his beloved wife, Jenn, by his side. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. George was predeceased by his parents, Yukio and Thelma, his brothers, Brian, Allen, and John, his nephew, Kelly, and his great-nephew, Kole. Born and raised in Toronto, George will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humour. He worked with NALACO and HOOPP, and enjoyed travel, photography, music, fishing, and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays. A Memorial Service will be held on May 4, 2026, at Vescio Funeral Home, Toronto Chapel, with details to follow. Donations may be made to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
