Elio Papais

Elio Papais of Toronto, Ontario, passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on March 10, 1933, he is fondly remembered by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Elio was predeceased by his parents, Angelo Papais and Ida Nonis. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vera Pumprova, and his siblings, Giuseppe, Maria, Rosalia, and Silvana. He leaves behind a cherished family, including nieces and nephews Stefano, Sylvia (Ottash), Claudia (Ralph), Rosanna, Rita, Sandra, Tiziana, and Paolo, as well as great nieces and nephews David (Kailey), Laura (Danielle), and Adam (Amanda), and great, great nieces and nephews Aria, Nora, and Sena. Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Samedi Ward Funeral Home - Weston Chapel, located at 2035 Weston Rd, Toronto, ON M9N 1X7.
