Edmund Anthony Athaide

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edmund Anthony Athaide, who departed this life on September 22, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on November 8, 1931, in Toronto, Ontario, Edmund is remembered fondly by his family and friends for the joy he brought into their lives. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Daphne, and his sister, Winnie (Albert). Edmund is survived by his son, Paul (Lorraine), his granddaughters, Chloe (Devon) and Kayla, and his brother, Raymond (Phil). Visitation will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, located at 2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga, ON. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, followed by a second Mass at 11:00 AM at the London Gate Pub. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made through his fundraising page.
