DOUGLAS ROLLINS THOMPSON
Douglas Rollins Thompson was born on September 5, 1939, to John and Marguerite. He grew up in Queensborough, Ontario, with his sisters, Lamoine and Elaine, and his brother, Bob. Doug graduated from Queen's University with a Master of Science in Physics in the early 1960s. He worked for Imperial Oil and AECL before becoming an educator, teaching at North Albion Collegiate Institute in Etobicoke until his retirement. Doug passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 86, after a long battle. He is survived by his partner of forty years, Douglas Carroll. A celebration of Doug's life will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. at Turner & Porter, Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St., W., Toronto.
