Dorothy Margaret Elizabeth Craig passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, at the age of 95, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto, following a brief illness. Born on August 19, 1930, she was the daughter of Margaret and William Craig and the youngest of seven children. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Bob (Viva), John (Connie), Bill (Marie), Alex (Joan), George (Norma), and Gordon (Christine). She is lovingly remembered by her surviving nieces and nephews and their spouses/partners, George and Ann McCullough, Doug and Sue McCulloch, Ann and Barry Miller, Mary and Jim Siegrist, Barbara McCulloch, Bob and Betty McCulloch, Steve and Mary Craig, Cathy Craig and John Tucker, Jim Craig and Karen Wade, Marilyn Craig and Peggy and John Poulter, as well as many great and great-great-nieces and nephews and friends. Dorothy graduated from the Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing and later completed her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nursing at the University of Toronto. She had a distinguished career in nursing, working in acute care hospital settings, Public Health in Toronto, Etobicoke, and Halton Region, and later as a professor at the University of Toronto's School of Nursing, where she earned the distinction of Professor Emeritus upon her retirement. Dorothy was an active member of St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church and enjoyed her time with the Friendship Club. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel.
