DANIEL WALDERMAR BUSS

Daniel Waldemar Buss passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 93, after a short battle with cancer. Born on July 1, 1932, in Morris, Manitoba, Dan was the son of the late Emil and Albertina Buss. He was the second youngest and last survivor of their eleven children. Dan graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Manitoba in 1954 and served in the Royal Canadian Navy. He then had a rewarding career as a Meteorologist with the Canadian Government, working in Calgary, Dartmouth, and Toronto before retiring in 1988. Dan was predeceased by his wife Lynn in 2018 and is survived by his children Craig, Kevan, and Marcie, as well as his grandchildren Kai and Eden, and great-grandchildren Louis and Frances. A family graveside service has taken place, and donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated in his memory.
