Cecilia Barry CSJ

Cecilia Barry CSJ, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born on November 19, 1929, to Bernard and Teresa Barry, both of whom predeceased her, along with her siblings Bernadine (Nelligan), Theresa (Duffy), Sylvester, Michael, John, and Paul. Cecilia is survived by her brother, Bernard Barry, as well as her family, friends, and fellow Sisters. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at St. Joseph Residence, located at 2 O'Connor Drive, Toronto. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the same location, followed by burial at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Thornhill at 1:30 PM. The funeral Mass will be livestreamed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph Ministries.
