Born on February 12, 1928, Catherine is survived by her nephew David Thomson (Jenn), great-nephews Trey and Cole, great-niece Alexandra, niece Anne King (Robert), great-nieces and great-nephews Adrian, Calvin, Darren, Deanna, and Lily, niece Iona Williams (Paul), and great-niece Megan. She was predeceased by her husband Donald John Macfarlane (Iain), her parents John MacVicar and Mary MacVicar, and her sisters Mary MacVicar, Bess Thomson, and Helen Thomson. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Humphrey Funeral Home A. W. Miles - Newbigging Chapel, located at 1403 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON M4S2N4. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Andrews Society of Toronto.
