CARMELA MARION VASSALLO

Carmela Marion Vassallo (nee Cachia) passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on November 24, 1936, in Toronto, Carmela was the much adored mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many. She was predeceased by her parents, Guiseppe and Carmela Cachia, siblings Sylvio, Martin (Mary), and Mary (Frank Wygas), as well as her husbands, Walter Stefan Niczyporuk (died 1965) and Joseph Vassallo (died 1995), and son, Joseph Vassallo (died 2013). Carmela will be eternally missed by her sons, Michael (Barbara) and Anthony (Suzanne), along with her cherished grandchildren, Nicole (Michael Zettel), Kevin (Jennifer), and Brian (Vanessa), and great-grandchildren, Brock Zettel, Lia and Jacob Vassallo, Luke and Jack Vassallo, and Joey's children, Mathew, Connor, Emily, and Julia.
