BETTY CARRAS

Betty Carras, born Vasiliki Mallis on September 21, 1932, passed away peacefully at her Toronto home on June 6, 2026, at the age of 93. Born in Athens, Greece, Betty came to Canada in 1956 and built a life alongside her beloved husband, Steve Carras. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Carras; her son, George Carras and his wife, Georgia Carras; her granddaughters, Katherine and Stephanie; and her sister, Yianna Despotakis. She was predeceased by her husband, Steve Carras, in July 2015. Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel on Tuesday, June 9th and Wednesday, June 10th, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at Panagia Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, June 11th, at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Women's Health Collective Canada or the Ontario Caregiver Organization.
