BARRIE WILFRED MARTIN

Barrie Wilfred Martin passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the age of 82, in Toronto. Born in Stratford to the late Wilfred and Helen Martin, Barrie spent most of his life in Toronto, where he was employed by CIBC for many years before retiring. He was actively involved in various committees, including the Residents committee of the Fudger House Home for the aged, the Yonge-Bay-Bloor Business Association, and the AIDS Memorial. Barrie will be remembered by his many friends across Canada, the USA, England, and Ireland, as well as his friends from CIBC Bank, nieces, nephews, and longtime friends Bruce and Joe. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Sandra Keffer. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a public graveside service will be announced later. Barrie will be interred with his parents in St. Columban Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The ArQuives or the Toronto Humane Society through the W. G. Young Funeral Home.
