ANGELA ELIZABETH BLANEY

Angela Elizabeth Blaney, born September 13, 1948, in England, died suddenly on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the age of 77. She was the daughter of the late John and Betty Shirreff. Angela was survived by her husband of 51 years, Douglas; her children Jennifer (married to Shawn), Talia (married to Chris), and Nicholas (married to Brittany); her grandchildren Chelsey and Violet; and her brother Bruce. She was predeceased by her siblings Valerie and Duncan. For many years she worked in medical imaging at Sunnybrook Hospital before retiring to devote herself to family life. Angela was known for her humor, generosity, and love of tea, cooking, gardening, shopping, the Toronto Blue Jays, and social gatherings. A celebration of life will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Haliburton Highland Health Services in her name.
