Aline Boyd
Aline Boyd (née Lupis) passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital in Toronto on June 16, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by her family. Born on December 3, 1931, in Alexandria, Egypt, she was the daughter of Odette and Alexis Lupis. Aline married Norman Boyd, a Canadian diplomat, on July 16, 1956, in Berne, Switzerland. Their life together took them and their four sons across the globe, including cities such as Tokyo, Washington D.C., Geneva, and Milan, before they settled in Ottawa. Aline was known for her warmth and grace, mastering several languages and adapting to new cultures with ease. She faced three cancer diagnoses with remarkable resilience. Aline was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Robert and Claude, and her husband Norman in 1995. She is survived by her sons Alexander (Andrea), Robert, Phillip (Marianne), and Paul (Justin), along with five grandchildren: Natalie, Catherine, Elizabeth, Madeleine, and Matthew. In her later years, Aline moved to Toronto to be closer to family, bringing her signature wit and love of laughter with her.
