ALICE MARJORIE DAVIS
Alice Marjorie Davis passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, who died on February 7, 2019, and her parents, Alicia (Coffey) and Wallace Lillie, as well as five older siblings. Alice was born in Toronto and lived a full life, attending Brown Public School and North Toronto High School, and joining Bell Canada in 1956. She and Ralph were married on June 7, 1958, and spent almost 61 years together, traveling extensively throughout Europe, Russia, China, Japan, Egypt, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. They made friends everywhere they went and were a team until Ralph's passing. Alice loved to play bridge, was a voracious reader, and enjoyed discussing world events. She was a lifelong learner, taking continuing education courses at the University of Toronto and Learning Unlimited, and valued her friends. Ralph and Alice owned two cottages on Lake of Bays, where they spent weekends and weeks in retirement, sharing the cottage with family and friends. Many happy memories were made there. After breaking her hip in 2023, Alice set herself the goal of dancing at her granddaughter's wedding, which she achieved in September of last year. Alice is survived by her two children, Ian and Lili (Davis-Burchat); her daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Shannon (McKenna) and Michael; and grandchildren, Sarah Lasby (Jacob), Ben, and Owen Davis. Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the summer of 2026. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Scott Mission of Toronto.
