The family of Sylvain Guertin of Timmins, Ontario, announces his passing on September 5, 2026, at the age of 44. Born on April 13, 1982, Sylvain will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who shared in his life. He is survived by his son, Ethan Guertin; his parents, Claude Guertin and Micheline Roy; his sisters, Jennifer Guertin (Dan Hayes) and Crystal Guertin (Kyle Whitnall); his niece, Emily; and his friend, Serge. A celebration of Sylvain's life will take place on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 150 Balsam St S, Timmins, ON P4N2E2. In his memory, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association – Cochrane-Timiskaming would be greatly appreciated.
