Monique Dion

The family of Monique Dion announces with great sorrow her passing on September 17, 2026, at the age of 82, at the Timmins and District Hospital. Monique is remembered by her children, Donald, Nicole (Gilles Leduc), and Carmen, as well as her grandchildren, Jennifer Dion (Stephen Carey), Jessica West (Devyn Harakh), Casey Shortt (Jake), Ryan West (Émilie), and Nathan Fisher (Dezirae Larocque), and her great-grandchildren, Eren and Éveline. She is also survived by her siblings, Imelda Gagnon, Adrienne Albert (Fernand), Léo Viel, and Gaëtan Viel (Lise), her sister-in-law Jeannine Viel, and her friend Denise Dionne. Monique was predeceased by her husband Gérard Dion, her parents Nathalie Viel and Adélard Viel, her brothers Adélard Viel, Donat Viel, and Réal Viel, her sister Réjeanne Fortier, and her sister-in-law Jeanne Viel.
