Laurent Rainville

Laurent Rainville of Timmins, Ontario, passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on May 7, 1937, he is fondly remembered by family and friends. Laurent was predeceased by his wife Georgette Rainville, his parents Leo and Marie-Anne Rainville, his daughter Carole Rainville, and his siblings Lionel, Aline, Gerald, and Jeannine. He is survived by his children Richard Rainville (Sherry), Lise Scalabrini, Claude Rainville (Anna), Ron Rainville (Heather), and Lynn Bates (late Steven), along with his grandchildren Shannon, Chantal, Michael, Melanie, Melissa, Laura, Holly, Jennifer, Katie, Cynthia, and Amanda. He also leaves behind many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on August 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Miron-Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
