Wilma Smithson

Wilma Smithson of Tillsonburg, Ontario, passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on May 24, 1935, she was a beloved member of her community. Wilma was predeceased by her great-grandparent Wilma Leotta Smithson, her husbands George Teall and Don Smithson, her sons Howard and John, stepson Mike, grandson Brent, and her parents Laverne and Lily. She is survived by her friend Dwight Buckland, her children Luanne (Hersh), Josie (Paul), Pat (Steve), Brian (Krys), Sandy (Terry), Deb (Mike), Sharon (Mark), Roger, Steve (Randy), and Chris, as well as her sister Sally Woodrow and her children Willie and George. Visitation took place on September 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ostrander's Funeral Home. Flowers are welcome, and memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
