Kathy Smith

Kathy Smith of Tillsonburg, Ontario, passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold E 'Happy' Wilson and Violet M Mitts, her stepfather Mailon E Mitts, her husbands John Vank and Merwood C Smith, her sons John HC Vank and Gregory S Vank, her granddaughter Tia B Quintana, her siblings Sheila H McDowell, Joan P Trevor, Douglas NC Wilson, Kenneth R Wilson, Paul B Wilson, and Robert F Wilson, as well as her siblings-in-law Ruth G Wilson, Louise S Wilson, Magdelena 'Leny' Wilson, Margaret E Wilson, Jacqueline J Wilson, Betty J Wilson, Stanley H McDowell, and Christopher C Trevor. Kathy is survived by her daughters Della L Tyrrell and Nancy L Thomas, both of Hamilton, and Julia D Vank of Tillsonburg, along with her sister-in-law Alice Wilson. Visitation took place on September 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ostrander's Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Flowers are welcome, and memorial contributions may be made to Diabetes Canada or the Alzheimer's Association.
