Achiel Mattan

Achiel Mattan, a resident of Tillsonburg, Ontario, was born on November 30, 1935, and died on July 22, 2026, at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his parents, Cyriel Gerard Mattan and Maria Christine Rosseel, his daughter Melissa, and his sister Marguerite DeBeer (late Valere). He is survived by his partner Denise Mattan (Plancke), his children Terry Mattan of Tillsonburg and Tyler Mattan, his granddaughter Victoria VanHeugten (Kyle), his grandson Andrew Mattan (Taylor), his great‑grandchildren Alyvia, Auston, Archie and Lennyn, his brother Dr. Frank Mattan (Judy) of Tillsonburg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Mary’s Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Maurice J.
