Wilf Chubak

The family of Wilf Chubak announces his passing on August 30, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on July 29, 1941, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Wilf is predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann Zurba, and his sister, Sylvia. He is survived by his sister, Jean Seaman, and sister-in-law, Janet Niedbala, along with numerous nieces and nephews, including Michael Pedwysocki (Sharon), Danny Pedwysocki (Diane), Mary Ann Vic, Brenda Carchidi (Sal Sr.), Chris, Ashley Vic, Steven, Andrew Pedwysocki (Darquise), Sal Jr., and Michael Carchidi (Stacey). He is also remembered by his great-nieces and great-nephews, Emili, Hunter, Will, Gage, Isabella, and Elliott. Visitation was held on September 4, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Sargent Family Reception Centre, located at 21 Court St N, Thunder Bay, ON P7A4T4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, the Alzheimer's Association, the Recreation Department at Southbridge Roseview Manor, or the charity of your choice, with the family choosing to support the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay.
