MAUREEN KAHN

Maureen Kahn (née McCulloch) passed away surrounded by loved ones on March 23, 2026, at the age of 82, following a lengthy decline from Alzheimer's disease. Born on March 19, 1944, in Thunder Bay, Maureen spent her early years in Port Arthur and later attended Queen's University, where she completed a BA with honours in English and German. She worked in publishing and as a freelance writer-editor in Toronto, was active in the community, and later taught English to adult learners in Toronto, the UK, and Germany. Maureen was predeceased by her father, Thomas; mother, Amy McCulloch; and brother, Robert. She will be deeply missed by her son, Ben (Liz); daughter, Clea (Andrew); grandchildren, Thomas and Victoria; sisters, Susan (Dennis) and Kathryn (Ed); brother, Tom (Bonnie); and by nieces, including Erin. Private services will be held.
