She was predeceased by her parents, Allen and Frances, and her brother, Andy. Karen is survived by her children, David Jr. (Kristen), Robert, Jennifer, and James, as well as her grandchildren, Sophia, Claire, and Nora. She is also remembered by her brother, Eric, and her friend, Dakota. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Thunder Bay District Humane Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Harbourview Funeral Centre.
