Irene Johnston

Irene Johnston passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on November 20, 1947, in Fort Frances, Ontario. Irene is survived by her children Corrine Dreger of Neepawa, Manitoba; Bev Brattengeier (Brian) of Nipigon, Ontario; Terry Johnston and Crystal Gastmeier (Mike) of Thunder Bay, Ontario; her brothers Wes Gadd (Lorraine), Roy Gadd (Shirley), Fred Gadd and Glenn Gadd; her sister‑in‑law Sandra Gadd; her grandchildren Jonathon, Alyssa, Jayme, Brett, Breanna, Kyle and Rya; her great‑grandchildren Kayden, Walker, Sophie, Landon, Dax, Scottie, Bennett and Emersyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Harley Johnston, her brother Walter Gadd, and her son‑in‑law Ralph Dreger. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Herold Funeral Home, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
