Barbara Jean (Ojala) Kukko

Barbara Jean (Ojala) Kukko passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on September 10, 1944, Barbara was a cherished member of her family and community in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She was predeceased by her parents, Unto and Tillie Ojala; her husband, Barry; her sister, Donna Swalwell; her siblings-in-law, Tommy and Elizabeth; and her parents-in-law, Toivo and Clara Kukko. Barbara is survived by her brother-in-law Doug; her children, Brad and Suzanne; her son-in-law Dorrie Barber; her grandchildren, Jack and Sasha Barber; and her siblings, Cliff Ojala and Sharon Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Thunderbird Wildlife Rescue, honoring her love for animals, especially birds.
