Anna Filipek of Thunder Bay, Ontario, was born on May 19, 1953, and died on August 11, 2026, at the age of 73. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanislawa Mizera and Stanislaw Mizera. Survivors include her husband Edward, her grandsons Darius, Nathan and Raymond, as well as other grandchildren and close friends. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Waverley Chapel, 299 Waverley Street, Thunder Bay, ON P7B 5Z7. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
