Bob McBride

Bob McBride of Thorold, Ontario, was born on November 19, 1931, and died on July 31, 2026, at the age of 94. He is survived by his wife, Linda Grazina Vaicius Jaques; his children, Christopher, Jeanine (Chris Scapillato) and Paul (Tonya Ventresca); his grandchildren, Jade, Louis, Liam and Tycen; his great‑grandchildren, Adelyn, Joel and Naomi; and his stepsons, David and Andrew Jaques. He was predeceased by his parents, Maude and Cecil McBride, his siblings Jim and Pat, and his former wife Joan (Hoyle). A viewing took place on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pleasantview Funeral Home, 2000 Merrittville Highway, Thorold, ON L0S1E6. The funeral service was held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the same location, followed by a reception until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society are requested.
