Audrey (Eadle) Vachon

Audrey Vachon (née Eadle) passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by her three beloved daughters, Kim (Dave Wasney), Jennifer (Mark Hayes), and Cindy (Brett Southwell). Born in Montreal on April 15, 1942, she was the daughter of Jean and Harold Eadle and later moved to Welland, where she grew up with her younger sister, Barb Noble. Audrey's determination and rebellious spirit guided her through life's challenges, including returning to high school at 36 and enjoying a long career at St. Catharines City Hall. After retirement, she cherished time spent between Niagara and the family cottage in Quebec with her late husband, Jack, and their pets, Buddy and Sasha. Audrey will be deeply missed as a devoted mother and proud Nana to her grandchildren, Sydney, Hudson, Hunter, Dylan, Quintin, and Connor. The family expresses gratitude to Dr. Clayden, the staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre, and the palliative care team for their compassionate support. A service will be held at Pleasantview Funeral Home on October 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of her life. Memorial donations may be made to the humane society.
