Alberico DEL GOBBO,

Alberico Del Gobbo passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 79 while in the care of Niagara Health Marotta Family Hospital. He was born in Limosano, Molise, Italy, and emigrated to Canada at 21, establishing his home in Thorold where he worked for over four decades with Foster Wheeler/Trenergy. Alberico was a veteran of the Italian Army aeronautical division and was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at 59. He is survived by his wife Chiara (née Gualtieri); his children Joseph (the late Heather) Del Gobbo, Lisa (John) Hanounik, and Sandra (Joseph) Smith; and grandchildren Paul, Ciara, Luca, and Alexa. He was a brother to Antonietta Minicucci (the late Lidio Pulla), Pasqualina (Mario) Piscitelli, Michelina Nunzia Del Gobbo (Nick Lalli), and Ernesto (Isabel) Del Gobbo, and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Giuseppe Del Gobbo and Assunta Ricciuto, and his sister Maria Del Gobbo (Antonio Curcillo). Visitation will be held at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with vigil prayers at 3:00 p.m.
