Dorothy Anne STREETS

Dorothy Anne Streets, a native of Cuckfield, England, died peacefully at her home in St. Thomas on August 14, 2026, at the age of 84. She was the beloved wife of Brian Streets and mother of Sean Streets and his wife Caroline. Born on August 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Brown and her fiancé, a Canadian soldier who was killed in World War II. After emigrating with her adoptive parents from England to Quebec and later to Aylmer, she returned to England where she met and married Brian. The family settled in St. Thomas following Sean's birth. Dorothy dedicated more than four decades to the library system of Elgin County and St. Thomas, and volunteered for over thirty years with the St. Thomas‑Elgin General Hospital Auxiliary. In her later years she taught card‑stamping techniques and enjoyed creating custom greeting cards. Visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas, on August 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with funeral services on Thursday, August 20 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Thomas‑Elgin General Hospital Foundation.
