Marcia Jean Bennett

Marcia Jean Bennett passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of the late John Bennett and a cherished mother to Susan Green (Gord), Amanda Hutchinson (the late Peter Hutchinson), Sarah Slack (Mark), and Caroline Bennett. Marcia was a proud and loving grandmother to Allison Green (Jake Demers), Adam Green, Erin Green, Lindsay Hutchinson (Dylan Stewart), Kailie Hutchinson, Jennifer Hutchinson (Mike Dickson), Heidi DeCoste (Chris), Stephanie Catton (Brett), Johnathan Slack (Frances), and Christopher Slack (Meg). She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Stella, and James Demers; Mackenzie Stewart; Forrest DeCoste; and Clara Catton. Marcia was predeceased by her husband John Bennett and son-in-law Peter Hutchinson. The family will receive friends at the Hannah Funeral Home in Tamworth on Sunday, June 14th from 2 - 4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church Lowville at 7051 Guelph Line in Milton, Ontario on Wednesday, June 17th at 1:00 p.m. with interment in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Lennox and Addington County Hospital Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
