Peggy Lee Mary (McCoy) Hay

Peggy Lee Mary McCoy Hay, born July 9, 1964, passed away peacefully in her home on June 5, 2026, at the age of 61. She was the daughter of Doug and Estelle McCoy, wife to James Hay, and mother of Shelby Hay (Keegan). Peggy will be dearly missed by her brothers, Doug McCoy (Laura) and David; sisters, Tammy (Ted) and Terry (Bill); as well as her nieces and nephews, Christopher, Shawna, Matthew, Delaney, Brittaney, Brooklynn, Taylor, and Kory; and her extended family and friends. In 2019, Peggy relocated from her hometown of Brampton to Nova Scotia to enjoy her retirement years with her family. Instead, she struggled for the last five years with health issues. While we are saddened at the loss of our beloved sister/wife/mother Peggy, we are also relieved that she is finally resting in peace. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Trees for Life, or Diabetes Canada.
