Georgie LYONS

Georgia Lyons, fondly known as Georgie, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 95. Born in Toronto, she was one of seven children to Margaret and Sam Johnston. Georgia was an active member of the Eastern Star, the Daughters of Nile, the Drum Core, and the Red Hat Society, and belonged to the Salvation Army church. She traveled extensively, visiting the United Kingdom, Europe, China, and Russia, but her heart remained in Northern Ireland. Predeceased by her husband Harvey Lyons, and her sons Ron and Harvey Jr. (Squeak) Lyons, as well as her sisters and brother, Georgia leaves behind her granddaughters Kelly Lyons-Perry and Darcie Lyons-Hutton, and great-grandchildren Tristan and Connor Perry, and Mathilda Hutton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Salvation Army Georgina Community Church on January 6, with an Eastern Star Service and funeral service to follow. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army Georgina Community Church are appreciated.
