Roland "Roly" Groulx

Roland "Roly" Groulx passed away at Health Sciences North on July 20, 2026, at the age of 91. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Denise Groulx (née Joseph), and their children, Joanne (Wayne), Carole, Linda (Claude), and André (Suzanne). Roland was a proud grandfather to Maxime, Jessica (Jonathan), and Curtis (Tiffany), and a great-grandfather to Anze, Arianna, Arlo, and Aspen. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, including Nicole (Réjean), Claude, and Claire, along with many extended family and friends. Born in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Québec, he served in the Royal Canadian Navy before settling in Ontario, where he had a fulfilling career in mining, particularly at Falconbridge Nickel Mine. The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the staff at Health Sciences North for their compassionate care. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Simple Wishes of the North and Crystal Crematorium.
