Raymond Martel

Raymond Martel of Sudbury, Ontario, born on March 6, 1950, passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 76. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Martel; his girlfriend, Jennifer Burgess; his daughter, Christine Martel; his parents, Jean-Marc and Jeanne Martel; and his sisters, Theresa and Claire. Raymond is survived by his children, Carole Martel (John) and Jean-Marc Martel (Tammy); his stepdaughter, Amber Burgess; and his siblings, Joseph (Allison), Gerry (Cosimina), Suzane, Pierre (Sue), Gilles (Joanne), Danielle, Pauline (Paul), Joanne, Aurel (Natalie), and Giselle. He is also remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation took place on September 2 and 3, 2026, with a funeral service on September 3 at the R. J. Barnard Chapel. Burial followed on September 4 at Lasalle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fondation de la Maison de Soins Palliatifs de Sudbury Hospice Foundation.
