Mary Johanna Dowdall

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Johanna Dowdall of Sudbury, Ontario, who departed this life on October 19, 2026, at the age of 88. Mary Johanna is survived by her devoted husband, Arthur Dowdall, and her children: Mark (Nicole), Paul (Jeannie), Tricia Dowdall-Cirelli (Felix), Shannon Dowdall-Smith (Alistair), and Kelly Gould (Ron). She will be remembered by her grandchildren, Kaytlin Dowdall-Rudzinski (Ian), Keelin, Cai (Zac), Kellie Dowdall, Carly (Evan), Ava Cirelli (Brendan), Duncan, and Isla Smith. Mary Johanna was predeceased by her mother, Jeannette Frawley, and her brother, Phelan Frawley (Gloria). She is also survived by her siblings, Michael Frawley (Claudette), Doug Frawley (Angela), and Pat Nurmi (Bill), along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, godchildren, and cousins. Visitation took place on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, located at 233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Alexander's Church, situated at 100 Gaudette St, Chelmsford, ON P0M1B0. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Maison McCulloch Hospice, which would be greatly appreciated.
