Irène Démoré

The family announces the passing of Irène Démoré on September 9, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on July 4, 1938, Irène was a beloved member of her family and community. She was predeceased by her husband, Rejean Demore, and her significant other, Marcel Gagnon. Irène is survived by her children, Bob Demore (Monique), Marc Demore (late Lorraine), and Micheline Preseault (Richard), as well as her stepchildren, Carole, Joseph (Patti), Pierrette, and Guy Gagnon (Terry). She leaves behind grandchildren Josee (Matt), Guy (Jessica), Brigitte (Don), Eric (Ashley), and Joel, along with great-grandchildren Marcus, Merik, Maeva, Olivia, Mia, Sebastien, Cassidy, and Adam. Irène is also survived by her siblings, Clarence Bergeron (Jackie), Adrienne Demore (late Donald), and Viviane Labranche, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will take place on September 14 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on September 15 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cooperative Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
