Ilmar Jaas

Ilmar Jaas of Sudbury, Ontario, passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on March 30, 1953, he is remembered fondly by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Ilmar was predeceased by his parents, John and Therese, and his wife, Ann. He is survived by his stepchildren, Cynthia (Dale) and James (Sabine), as well as his grandchildren, Brittany and Aaron. Visitation will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, located at 233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of the Ascension, 1476 Sparks St, Greater Sudbury, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fondation de la Maison de Soins Palliatifs de Sudbury Hospice Foundation or The Church of the Ascension.
