Eugene MacDonald

Eugene MacDonald of Sudbury, Ontario, passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on August 29, 1941, he was the beloved son of the late Sara Janet "Jenny" and Piper Dan MacDonald. Eugene was predeceased by his siblings Donny, Wallace, Francis, Sylvester, Allan, and Margaret. He is survived by his children, Linda MacDonald-Laberge (Andre), Karen Crew (Scott), and Allan MacDonald (Shelly), as well as the mother of his children, Dionna MacDonald. He is also remembered by his siblings Angus MacDonald, Catherine "Didi" Steele, Elmer MacDonald (Joan), Bernadette Simpson, and Theresa Sanderson (Ray). Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM, both at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 Regional Rd 15, Chelmsford, ON P0M1L0. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eugene's name to the Chelmsford Food Bank.
