Donna Verna Shehovac

Donna Verna Shehovac of Sudbury, Ontario, was born on September 26, 1934, and died on August 15, 2026, at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her husband, Pero "Peter" Shehovac, her parents Nadine (Longlade) Schwieg and Arthur Schwieg, and her siblings Marie Doucette (Phillip) and Joseph Schwieg. She is survived by her children Marko (the late Bev), Lenka, Dorothy Godin (Gilles) and Millie Amato; her siblings Alva Mucin (Fabian) and Pearl Schwieg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation took place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church, 515 Antwerp Avenue, Greater Sudbury, ON. A funeral service was held at the same location at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment in the Civic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church.
