Cécile Legrand-Prévost
Cécile Legrand-Prévost of Sudbury, Ontario, passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on June 2, 1940, she was a beloved member of her family and community. Cécile was predeceased by her parents, Roméo and Lucienne Rocheleau; her former husband, Marcel Legrand; and her child, Jacynthe Legrand. She is survived by her husband, Aimé Prévost; her children, Daniel Legrand (Lianne), Alain Legrand (Lynne), and Martine Legrand (Klode Pépin); her grandchildren, Rachelle Dearing (Ryan), Stéphane Legrand (Brittney Rouleau), Christine Legrand (Jason Baader), Brandon Legrand (Stéphanie Brunet), Alexis Gingras, Valérie Legrand (Denver Swearengen), Annabelle Gingras, and Pierre Legrand (Rylande Horsman); her great-grandchildren, Norah, Everly, Lincoln, Zoe, Alina, Owen, and Griffyn; and her siblings, Lucille Rocheleau, Élide Gilbert (Jacques), and Béatrice Rocheleau (predeceased by Gérard Gilbert). Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Coopérative (222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, ON P3A1W5). A funeral service will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St-Jacques Church (46 Cote Blvd, Hanmer, ON P3P1X5). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
