Steven Meninger

Steven Meninger passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital in Stratford, Ontario, on July 8, 2026, at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Brenda for 60 years and a cherished father to Mark and Karen Desmeules. Steven was also a devoted grandfather to Nicolas, Matthew, and Jackson. Born in 1935 in a small farming village near Budapest, Hungary, Steven later immigrated to Canada at the age of 20 and settled in Stratford. He had a long career as a network engineer-technologist with CN Telecommunications and was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed gardening, baking, and cooking. Steven was a member and volunteer with the Waterloo, Burlington, and Appleby Tennis Clubs for many years. He is survived by his wife Brenda, children Mark and Karen, and grandchildren Nicolas, Matthew, and Jackson.
