Percy Lauwaert

Percy Lauwaert of Stratford, Ontario, died on August 5, 2026, at the age of 76. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Elvira Lauwaert, and his wife Rita (Persoon). He is survived by his children, Nicole Wordofa (Gezahgn) and Michael (Leigh); his grandchildren, Aaron, Braden, Ryan and Linden; his sister Jean Persoon; and his nieces Leanne and Heather. A funeral service was conducted on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford, ON, followed by a reception at 12:30 p.m. and a burial at 1:30 p.m. at Avondale Cemetery, 4 Avondale Ave, Stratford, ON. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the family’s choice.
