John Joseph Arthur SAUVE
John Joseph Arthur Sauve, age 80 of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Spruce Lodge in Stratford. Born in Sarnia, ON, he was the son of the late Arthur and Amanda (Latour) Sauve. John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Laurie (Atkinson) Sauve, and their children, Chris (Lynda) and the late Serena Dawn. He was a loving grandfather of Keith (Amanda), Sierra (MJ), Rylee (Stephanie) and great grandfather of Greyson, Morgan and Molly. John will also be remembered by his in-laws, Marlene Sauve, Carolyn (Clifford) Cawley, Becky (Al) Coyne, Michael (Debbie) Atkinson, Vic (Colleen) Atkinson, Lee (Adrienne) Laberge, and his many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Serena Dawn in infancy, and his siblings, Pat (Gerry) Latour, Doris (Bert) Trowbridge, Margaret (William) Buttineau, Kathy (LeRoy) Cawley, Edgar Sauve, and Rosemary Irene in infancy. In keeping with John's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 3:00 p.m., in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford, ON. Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada through the funeral home.
