Jo-Anne Rees

Jo-Anne Rees of Stratford, Ontario, passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 81. She was born on September 21, 1944. Jo-Anne is survived by her husband, John Rees; her children, Rob (married to Jenny), Ron (married to Loreena), Rick, and Heather (married to Matthew); her grandchildren, Sebastian, Liam, Ciaran, Bronwyn, Ronan, Virginia, Gwynnevere and Luka; her siblings, Mary Lou, Doug and Carl; and her parents, Gordon Thomas and Irene Thomas, as well as six nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in Avondale United Church, 194 Avondale Avenue, Stratford, ON N5A 6N4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cook‑Rees Memorial Fund for Water Search and Safety through W.G. Young Funeral Home, or to a charity of the family’s choice.
