Cecelia Roberta Cockett

Cecelia Roberta Cockett of Stratford, Ontario, passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 100. She was born on March 7, 1926, to Daniel Thomas and Adina Thomas, both of whom predeceased her. Cecelia is survived by her son Adolph (Velmore), grandchildren Nannette (Trevor), Carlene, and Bryan, as well as great-grandchildren Tyson, Samantha, and Ava. She is also remembered by her siblings: Linda Robertson, Joyce Hall, Curdell Smith, Celes Thomas, Clarence Baker, Denzel Thomas, Hurgle Thomas, Clifford Thomas, John Thomas, and Cleveland Thomas. Visitation took place on September 8, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at W. G. Young Funeral Home. Burial followed at Avondale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada through the funeral home.
