Anna Grace Reesor

Anna Grace Reesor passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 100. Born on October 29, 1924, to Orla and Catherine Lehman Heise at the Heise homestead near Victoria Square, Ontario, Anna was a devoted wife, mother, and community member. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 and married John Clarence Reesor on October 11, 1949. Anna and John were married for 70 years and raised five children on the family farm in Markham Township. Anna tended gardens, preserved produce, helped with farm chores, and still found time to sew clothing and support her church and extended family. She and John volunteered as managers of the Brethren in Christ church facility, Camp Kahquah, and later retired to their newly built home on Ahmic Lake. They also volunteered with the Mennonite Central Committee in Akron, Pennsylvania. Anna will be dearly missed by her family, including Arlene Reesor, Judith Marshall, Jay, Susan Reesor, and Karla Reesor; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Erma Sider, and many nieces and nephews.
