Walter Edward Oliver BONNEY

Walter Edward Oliver Bonney, affectionately known as 'Bon' or 'Bonney,' passed away on February 16, 2026, in his 88th year. He was the beloved husband of Christine for 45 years. Mr. Bonney is survived by his children, Nancy McKinnon and Steven Bonney, and his grandchildren, Kylar, Devorah, Jake, Chelsea, and Averea. He was also devoted to his nieces and nephews in Nottingham, England. Predeceased by his father, Walter, and mother Lydia, as well as his sister, Joyce, brother-in-law, Russell, and infant siblings, Roy and Irene. Born in 1938 in Bethnal Green, London, England, Mr. Bonney emigrated to Canada in 1966 and made Hamilton/Stoney Creek his home. He was a skilled bass player and enjoyed traveling and pursuing his passions. Alzheimer's Disease may have taken away his memories, but it never touched his love of music or his heart's connection to England. He will be deeply missed and was loved more than he knew.
