Ruth Olwen HOARE

Ruth Olwen HOARE passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 91. She is survived by her younger brother, James Horton, and his wife Alice (Harris) Horton. She was predeceased by her older brother, John Horton; and sister-in-law, Norma (Coombs) Horton. Ruth also leaves behind four nephews, David Horton, Stewart Horton, Paul Horton, and John Horton, as well as her niece, Deborah Horton, and many great nieces and nephews, great-great nephews, and a great-great niece. A private family graveside service will occur in the spring of 2026 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest next to her parents, Clarence John Hoare and Doris (Bradford) Hoare. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Green Nursing Home for their care of Ruth over the past 30 years. In memory of Ruth's love for animals, donations may be made to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA.
