Paul Harry Blanche

Paul Harry Blanche passed away on April 28, 2026, at the age of 81. He was the cherished husband and high school sweetheart of Ann Marie, nee Barbera. Paul was the loving father of Paul, Jamie, Andrew, and David, and the beloved Papa of Justin, Jordan, Josh, Ryan, Jake, Liam, Spencer, Clara, and great Papa of Jack. He was the dear brother of the late Dorothy M. Wordock, Marion M. Miles, the late James J. Blanche, the late Albert G. Blanche, the late Joan Ann Meldrum, the late Barbara J. Blanche, the late Beverly E. Giesbretch, the late Helen Blanche, the late William L. Blanche, the late Gary A. Blanche, Richard G. Blanche, the late Michael H. Blanche, Karen L. Baker, Carolyn L. Blanche, Wayne K. Blanche, and brother-in-law of the late Peter Barbera, the late Joe Barbera, and Margaret Barrett. Paul will be sadly missed by his entire family and many dear friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to the medical team at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Clinic for their care. In lieu of flowers, Paul's family will welcome donations to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or Canadian Blood Services. Paul worked at Dofasco for 40 years and was a dedicated soccer coach and hockey coach with the Dundas Minor Hockey Association. He enjoyed watching sports, spending time with family, and going to his brother-in-law's cottage. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 308 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek, ON, followed by a procession to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
